Sister Mary Wormhorn is a major character in Afterparty. She is a Personal Demon who is assigned to Lola and Milo during their first day in Hell.
Personality[]
(TBC)
Official Description[]
"In Hell, you don't just get tortured physically, you get tortured mentally by creatures birthed from your subconscious fears when you first arrive. They're called Personal Demons, and Milo and Lola's is Sister Mary Wormhorn, a hyperkinetic, happy-go-lucky spirit that takes her job very seriously."[2]
Appearance[]
Wornhorn is a demon with glowing yellow eyes and a slim body with long horns. She possesses a purple and black zigzag pattern all over her body.
Background[]
After their deaths, Milo and Lola underwent a Personality Audit administered by a demon named Barbatos. After the audit was completed, Wormhorn was born into existence in order to act as a "comfort inhibitor" visible only to them and other demons that would, unbeknownst to Milo and Lola, only live for the next twenty-four hours until it "expired" and died.
Plot[]
After taking a personality audit administered by a demon, Wormhorn is born and introduced to Milo and Lola before they're thrown back into the Processing Station's waiting area. Later on, after leaving Tommy Tulaney's party at 1st and Izzard, Milo and Lola run into Wormhorn on their way back to the taxi, who recalls their fears that were recorded during the audit before disappearing. While approaching Satan's house on Welkin Way, Wormhorn walks up to them with two people and mocks them for not having an invitation to the party before heading inside.
Chose Lynda
If they chose to pursue Milo's idea of retrieving Lynda Landon's invitation, Wormhorn will appear before the dance audition with either the chanters or Blackhouse and taunt Milo about his performance at his sixth grade talent show, and Lola's reaction will determine whether she or Milo will dance with Valac. Though she taunts Milo and Lola during the show, she leaves frustrated after Onoskelis gives them her approval.Chose Fela
If they chose to pursue Lola's idea of retrieving Fela's invitation, Wormhorn will appear after Milo and Lola speak to Greg and Eliza inside the Feisty's, where she taunts Lola about her memory of losing her dog in tenth grade. After telling them to ensure they pick the "right gal", she disappears. After completing either invitation mission, Wormhorn will appear before them and teleport them into an empty room with a projector, where she reviews and questions their actions during the mission as well as lists several depressing facts about the Earth before leaving after Milo or Lola protests.
Upon entering Satan's house, Milo and Lola arrive into a dark room, where Wormhorn reveals her replica of Milo's kitchen and creates duplicates of herself donning masks of a younger Milo and his parents, Gene and Barbra. After doing a skit mocking his parents' strictness and Milo's insistence on being called "Marty the Magnificent" when he was a kid, a Gene-masked Wormhorn and Milo transport to a carnival set, where she makes him do a target game while mocking him in Gene's voice. Milo eventually throws the game and calls out Wormhorn for his portrayal of his father, and after either Fela or Lynda call out to him from the party, Wormhorn disappears with the rest of her set.
Apollyon's quest
While doing Apollyon's quest, Wormhorn will appear during a disguised Lola and Milo's conversation with Apollyon, Andy, Gerald, and Delbert, where she unsuccessfully tries to get them to slip up by asking their name and occupation before leaving in frustration.
Later, as Milo and Lola head to Apollyon on 1st and Izzard either acquitting or condemning Roberto Spaghetti during his trial on Little Rantalia, Sam's empty taxi drives itself up to the shore, to their bewilderment. After cautiously entering, Wormhorn appears and transports the boat to a set with a moving background of Detroit, Lola's home city. She talks about Lola's past and creates duplicates with masks of Lola's three sisters, Nina, Dinah, and Sarah, who talk negatively about Lola and her lack of social interest and faith in life. After Lola answers with her reason behind her altruism and that she loves her sisters, Wormhorn and her set disappear, and they are transported back to Sam driving them in her taxi.
While heading back to the shore after completing Apollyon's drinking game for her Seal, rain suddenly starts to fall, after which Milo and Lola are transported into Wormhorn's projection room and she recaps their actions during the quest.Asmodeus' Quest
After Milo is split apart from his conscience by Asmodeus' drink, Wormhorn appears and leads the conscience over to the VIP area, which Milo and Lola cannot access. After Milo dives off a railing and knocks the bouncer unconscious, Wormhorn starts talking to Milo before another demon copies Milo by jumping off the balcony onto Wormhorn's head, causing her to disappear.
After their elevator stops midway after completing Asmodeus' dance-off for his Seal, Wormhorn transports them into her projection room and recaps their actions during the quest. If the above was their first Seal quest, Wormhorn will mock Lola's stated ideal life before complaining about the lack of material they're giving her threatening to keep them there for eternity. After insinuating that Milo secretly hates Lola, she drops them back into reality. If the above was their second Seal quest, she becomes bitter over their lack of appreciation for her work and her loneliness, to which Lola can either comfort her, insult her, or say nothing.
As Milo and Lola attempt to enter Satan's house after obtaining both Seals, Wormhorn transports the two into separate smaller replicas of the college mixer from the start of the game, donning masks of the two to reveal secrets they had been keeping and causing them to turn on each other. Afterwards, Wormhorn takes them back into the party room and reveals that, based on whose choices were favored throughout the game, either Milo or Lola had won their "point of view" and autonomy separate from God's will, causing the other to storm off. As Wormhorn gleefully celebrates her victory in causing strife for the two before being interrupted by Satan, who ridicules Wormhorn for her being a Personal Demon and her incoming death. He has the party mockingly shout "Goodbye, Wormhorn!" before teleporting her away.
While searching for their friend at the Schoolyard Strangler, Sam Hill points out Wormhorn standing dejected by the pong table to Milo or Lola and advises them to to sympathize with her. If Milo or Lola chooses to speak with her, they can choose to reject her one last time or offer to play beer pong with her; if they do the latter, Wormhorn tells them that she wants both of her "parents" there before starting.
After Milo or Lola finds and makes amends with the other, they can return to Wormhorn at the table and either play a round of pong or backtrack and decide not too. Afterwards, Wormhorn says she still has around half an hour left alive and, after potentially complimenting their friendship and telling her to text them if they need her, she teleports away.
If they played beer pong with Wormhorn, Milo and Lola can later choose Wormhorn as one of their teammates via text, to which she will respond "HELLlL1L YESsSSSsSS!#*%! ZE3 U S0O0N. XoXo :):):) HEARTS666LOVE666BLESSED". At the party, Wormhorn will attempt to help Satan to Apollyon's protest, asking if he's a "very nervous fellow" before being shut down by Chernabog. During the beer pong game, Wormhorn will willingly participate in the game.
If Milo and Lola decided to win against Satan instead of helping him and Wormhorn was in their party, Wormhorn will appear during the ending sequence, either calling out for Lola from Milo's shop about "learning what bathrooms are for" or floating in behind Lola on her side of the phone call.

Quotes[]
- "How in tarnation are you, man! I am just so excited to be workin' with you -- with anyone really-- I am just so ready for this shit, we are gonna be a team, a real partnership, I want you to know that -- Oh crap. There's two of you. I-I'm so sorry, little lady. I didn't see you there. Let, uh, let me start over, okay? I'm Sister Mary Wormhorn, and--and I will be assisting you guys with your mental anguish here in Hell! We're gonna be brain bunkmates! You're hungry. I'm hungry. You're sad, I'm--I mean that means I'm doing my job!"
- — Wormhorn upon meeting Milo and Lola for the first time.
- "Ugh, whatever. Just remember... I know which one of you likes to be spanked... I know which one you likes to get their hair pulled... I know which one of you hates themselves so much they hate their parents for the idea... And I know which one of you hates the other one... almost as much. Think about it! Bye!"
- — Wormhorn after Milo and Lola's first Seal quest.
- "All you care about is each other. No one cares about Wormhorn. Wouldn't it be nice if Wormhorn had someone to rub on her shoulders? If Wormhorn had someone to help cheat at Marco Polo? If Wormhorn had an extra two arms to give herself hugs?"
- — Wormhorn after Milo and Lola's second Seal quest.
- "I'm not your friend, (Milo/Lola), I'm your kid. Your spritling, your sprout-- Parents forget. You're not supposed to relate to your child, just protect it. Of course, I'm the child you're meant to neglect-- letting me wash away into the reeds of self-medication... I came from (Lola's/Milo's) turgid self-reflections, too, (Milo/Lola), and we're not gonna play catch without (Mom/Dad). So go get (her/him) and we'll see."
- — Wormhorn after Milo or Lola offers to play beer pong with her.
- Wormhorn: "I mean-- I'm-- I'm not gonna poof out of permanence right this second-- I probably have like another half hour or something. But it's fine, it's good... that it happens this way. People change, you change-- you learn how to drive, you get married, folks die... You change and your demons should change with you. But I dunno, maybe I'm preaching to the wrong choir. (...) You two. You're still friends. That hasn't changed. Maybe it won't ever."
- Milo/Lola: "Yeah... I mean... we'll always be friends. Why would that change?"
- Wormhorn: "Personally, I don't think it should. But I'm just Sister Mary Wormhorn. What the fuck do I know."
- — Wormhorn and Milo/Lola (if they played beer pong)
- "Bye, you little freaks. And don't be blaming me for your nightmares, okay? God gave you creativity. He just forgot to put in the off button."
- — Wormhorn to Milo and Lola (if they played beer pong)
- Milo/Lola: "Where are you gonna go?"
- Wormhorn: "Oh, I dunno. Somewhere... warm."
- — Milo/Lola and Wormhorn (if they didn't play beer pong and asked "Where are you going to go?")
- "Is that Lola! Hi Lola! I'm learning what bathrooms are for! Gross!"
- — Wormhorn to Lola (If she came back to life with Milo and Lola).
